For my daily readers, I am sure you remember my post a couple weeks back about the HUMONGOUS FLY with the strength of Hercules, that got into my perfectly good jar of green sun tea I had made. The jar held only water and teabags when I put it on the porch, and when I brought it in, there was a fly in my tea. All I could think of was that some Huge fly queen had gotten miffed at one of the lil' fly drones, and snatched him up, flew to my tea jar, lifted the lid with his mighty fly strength, and then slapped the lid down again for him to die a slow death by drowning. I have had my Texas sized fly swatter at the ready ever since, but he is a sneaky one I believe. I was lulled into a false sense of security these past couple of weeks thinking my tea was once again safe from the Fly Queen Killer, but as I went out to check my tea this past weekend........either a friend of the dearly drowned and departed former fly came by to pay his respects, or he was a lookout fly for the Queen and I am to expect another random fly drowning soon. I will keep you posted.......

%^$^%# BLOGGER UPDATES!! Sorry So Late, Thanx For Well Wishes, Blog Pictures Chosen For HERE TV!, Website Updates Already, Daily Eye Candy

Hey Blogger Friends, sorry for yet another late post, this is going to be a crazy 4 more weeks, I can tell already. First I want to thank all of you for the comments and the wonderful emails about my dad. Papa Guru is doing much better today, his slurring is pretty much gone and he is talking a lot better. We are still not sure where the clot came from, so they have him in the hospital one more day to try to figure it out thru more tests, and his left arm looks like it will need rehabilitation, he is having problems getting a grip on anything, (sorta like me, LOL). But again, thanx for the warm wishes and he is on his way to a speedy recovery, I will be keeping you all posted.

I got some great news in an email last night!! It seem that HERE TV!, one of the gay television stations, (the other one is LOGO), is putting together a National Pride Blog, and would like to use the Gay Guru photo's from the blog for the Cleveland part. Isn't that exciting. Hopefully it will bring some new readers and blogger friends in to our little, ever growing family. You can click on the link to check out what it will look like when completed.

I cant believe it's time for another website update already, time is just flying out the window. This Saturday, July 16th, will be the next update, and my page editors Bruce and Mikey, each have a fantastic interview for the update. Also, Scott, the great writer and USC Trojan fan from Boi From Troi, has taken the challenge to offer counterpoint to the political page, "Leaning Left", on the website. He chose the topic if Arnold Shwarzenneger, Governor of California, if his veto of the "Marriage Equality Act", was a step forward or backwards in gay rights. I am looking forward to his side of the story. Here's the brief preview of Mikey's interview with Jeanne White Ginder, Ryan Whites mother, supporter, and HIV/AIDS activist:

Mikey: The Kokomo Tribune first printed Ryan's story March 3, 1985, who leaked it to the press?

Jeanne White-Ginder: Since Ryan's disease had to be reported to the CDC, they were able to put two and two together since Ryan was in the hospital . His teachers came to visit Ryan in the hospital right before Christmas. They brought flowers, gifts and cards when they came to see Ryan. They were asked to put on surgical gowns and mask. This was for Ryan's safety not theirs. They didn't go into see Ryan not understanding the HIV/AIDS virus. They were more of a threat to him then Ryan was to them. I thought they would know more about the virus then I did at that time.

Mikey: Do you feel that Ryan's legacy has been forgotten?

Jeanne White-Ginder: The older survivors now living with HIV/AIDS and the people who lived during that time period still remember Ryan. But the younger generation now a days don't even know Ryan's name. There is no one young, or old who is a role model for someone living with HIV/AIDS.

Mikey: Do you still keep in touch with Sir Elton John and Michael Jackson?

Jeanne White-Ginder: Michael called me this year to wish me a happy mother's day. With all the bad press Michael has received in this country, most people forget that he has a very gentle, kind, giving soul. As for Elton I have talked to him very little over the past couple years. He has been spending a lot of time in England with his partner. Andrea and I still get very decorative Christmas cards from him every year. When Elton visited Ryan, he always included Andrea in what he and Ryan were doing. He also brought her gifts like HardRock Cafe jackets from London and what not.

MEME Monday, Papa Guru in Hospital, The Storytellers Credo, In The News, HIV Role Models??, Daily Eye Candy, MEME

So I get home today to write out my lil ol' daily post, and what do my wondering eyes did appear, but an audioblog from yesteryear. It seems some old audioblog post I did from a week ago, that I THOUGHT I had deleted because I didnt need it, popped up on the blog today as a new post on todays date. WTF??? I hope other random audio posts that I tried to delete dont magically appear, some were deleted for a REASON, LOL. Quick personal news, Papa Guru had a stroke yesterday and is in the hospital for tests. Luckily it seems to be somewhat minor as far as strokes go, but they still need to do tests to see where the clot came from so they can decide on a course of action. He is mentally fine, able to walk around and move, (though they are only letting him get up to go to the bathroom), and already back to his ol' cheapskate self, saying Mama Guru will bring him food, dont charge him for disgusting hospital crap, lol. He has minor loss of some control of his left arm, and his speech is still a bit slurry and the left side of his face is a little droopy, but relatively minor in the scheme of things. If you could all send out some mental Papa Guru love, I would appreciate it.

I told you over the weekend, I am going to add a bit of old home wit and wisdom from time to time on this blog from one of my favorite authors, Robert Fulghum. The author of many great observational and slice of life books, Mr. Fulghamn is in fact a story teller, as his official storyteller license, given to him by a friend proves. Storytellers it seems, has a credo to live by, and I am going to start my introduction to Mr. Fulghum, by just letting you in on the story tellers credo, a glimpse at what will lie in store for some future posts.

They Storytellers Credo:

Since I was a little lack on news over the weekend, I will link a few of the highlights: Huckabee Uses Denouncement Of Gay Families To Garner Support For White House Bid HERE, Pope Ends Spanish Visit As He Began It With Attack On Gay Marriage HERE, New Hope For Gene Therapy To Combat AIDS HERE, and Alabama Court To Rule On Gay Parenting HERE.


I was going to post a bit of a preview of the interview that we did with Ryan White's mother Jeanne today, but since this post is already a bit long, I will hold off on that until tomorrow. Mikey did post a quick preview though on his blog HERE, if you wanna check it out. The full interview will be on the website update on July 16th, Saturday, so be sure to look for that. As Mrs White-Ginder said, there is no polarizing role model for the fight on AIDS anymore. Ryan served that purpose back in the mid 80's. He was a face and story that John Q. Public could identify with, emphasize with, and hopefully lose some of thier fears and ignorance with. There is no one really like that today. Even the celebrities, Greg Louganis, Magic Johnson have been out of the news cycles for ages, so that our up and coming gay youth, have no one to identify the disease with, and are therefore thinking it is under control, and are increasingly using high-risk activities with their partners and strangers alike. HIV/AIDS is still a very prevelant and life threatening disease, and we need to keep the word out to the younger generation, and a reminder to those slightly older in the community, who have forgotten.

As for MEME Monday, I will share a little about Papa Guru, since he is in the hospital. He and Mama Guru are both 67, and are living the life of leisure in Beautiful Northeast Ohio. My dad has had 2 heart attacks already, his first one at 39. He was finally forced to retire on disability at the age of 50. Looking and talking to my dad, you would think he is the picture of health. He is fit and very smart, but unfortunately, due to his bad heart, he cant really walk more than 15 minutes without having to sit down and rest for at least the same amount of time. He and Mama Guru still spend a lot of time travelling and doing stuff around the house, but the fun or work time is dedicated to short bursts of energy. I am sure this stroke wont slow him down too much more, and he will soon be trying to beat me at Canasta, (a card game), very soon. Thanx again for your warm wishes.

Lazy Sunday Post, Trying Audio Blogger Again, Pics Didnt Work - Now Added, Daily Eye Candy

Happy Sunday Blogger Friends. It seems like only half my attempt at blogging from afar worked out. I was at a festival near my home today, and I tried to send pictures to the blog and do an audiocast. Seems like only the audio cast worked out, so I am adding the pictures now. Long day here, left my place at 9 this morning to meet my friends for breakfast, and am back home at 8pm...yikes!! I hope you all enjoyed your weekend, you can listen to the audio blog below so I dont type everything again here. Just going to add the pics from the festival and some daily eye candy, and will talk to you all this week. Sorry the festival photo's kinda suck, but my cell phone camera kinda sux, LOL. I am up at 545am again tomorrow for another week of mon-fri 7am-3pm training sessions for work. Four more weeks to go, then back to sleeping in, lol. Hard Week, Extra Daily Eye Candy, Contest Coming Soon

So what's a Gay Guru to do, when he gets to his weekend, (trained today 7am-230 to make up for having the 4th off,) and he is exhausted from the new schedule of training for my new position at work and regular Guru stuff and personal friend and family commitments?? What else, more eye candy of course, you guys are soooo easy. I will even put a hottie up here first to tease you. LOL!!



Seriously, I dont have much to talk about today, I have a big project/contest I am working on for the blog, so I have that to work on today and tomorrow, and am just not in the mood to post today, I know, I know, cry me a river, eh?....Sorry, I hate to complain, I am sure a lot of you have a lot of crappy stuff to do this weekend also and worked hard all week. I will see if I can dig up a funny video to throw in here too just for the heck of it, and some bonus eye candy at the end. Since I am whining already, lol, if you havent checked out yesterdays blog, scroll down and see what I am asking for anniversary presents, I am such a beggar, sigh!! Starting Monday, I am also going to be adding some fun stories to the blog, a little inspiration, a little down home charm, and maybe something to think about every once in a while. The stories are all from one of my favorite writers, who is just a great observer of people and things. His name is Robert Fulghum, and if you havent heard of him, you are in for a treat. I am not sure how often I will be putting in some "Fulghumism's", but hopefully you will enjoy them. Fabulous Fridays, The Floating Bed, Airplane Computer, NY High Court Ruling Rejects Gay Marriage, Anniversary Requests, Woofables, Daily Eye Candy

Hey Blogger Friends, it's Fabulous Friday once again. Lot's to talk about today so I will get right into it with the Fab Finds for this week; First, in case you or someone you live with is afraid of the mean ol' monsters hiding under the bed, here is the Magnetic Floating Bed. The magnetically leviating bed is designed by the Architect Janjaap Ruijssenaars. The Dutch architect poured-in six long years to devise this amazing design and concept. The bed faces gravitation with magnets and it can carry magneetgebruik up to 900 kilos and is supported by four thin staalkabeltjes (that’s what the translated site say..). The scale model of the bed was presented at the Millionaire Fair in June 2006 and the floating bed is estimated to be priced around 115,000 euros for the scale model and for complete model expect to lay down around 1,200,000 euros. So, what if you always wanted to float in the air meditating, but have failed to do so…here is the smart alternative for you.
Also, for the computer geek that likes to travel, this passenger-jet-shaped mod modeled after a Boeing 737 is the second weekly winner in the case mod contest. The amazing jet-shaped mod designed by Brian Carter is powered by an AMD FX-55 processor and a GeForce 7800GT GPU. The artistic case mod took six long months to be completed and is lightweight enough to be set up against a wall, or hung up using a monitor wall-mount system. The center section holds the motherboard, the front nose houses the two hard drives, DVD/CD drive is hidden in the wing and the tail section is where the power supply is mounted. Also integrated into the wing is the keyboard and mouse receiver, and the Coolermaster Jet-7 CPU cooler is attached underneath and functions as an intake fan. The only newspiece I am going to talk about today is the defeat of the New York Supreme Court challenge, that sent Gays Across New York State Protesting Ruling. It's not that I am overly surprised by the ruling, though I did have some sense of hope that New York would come through, it's more some of the wording in the ruling and the assanine assumptions made in the wording. The majority said the Legislature could rationally decide that, for the welfare of children, it is more important to promote stability, and to avoid instability, in opposite-sex than in same-sex relationships. "Heterosexual intercourse has a natural tendency to lead to the birth of children; homosexual intercourse does not," the ruling said. As you will see in the video below, I thought the exact same thing, the str8's can keep on having the children, and we will keep on raising the one's they dont want. The ruling also means an end to a challenge by New York couples to a Massachusetts law barring clerks from issuing marriage licenses to people whose weddings would be illegal in their home states. Before I bring on the daily Eye Candy, I have a request for my great blogger friends and readers out there in the blogosphere. Today is the 3 month anniversary of the Gay Guru, and I promised I was not going to celebrate every single month, but I have two requests, and if it makes you feel good by tying it into an anniversary present, all the better, LOL. Also, before this weekend is over, The Gay Guru will have hit our 25,000 page view, NOT including website and myspace visits, which for a guy like me who didnt really know what he wanted or what to expect out of this project for the GLBT community, (and still doesnt,) I am very happy and honored to meet all of my new blogger friends and readers, you have all touched my life, and hopefully each others with your comments and emails. Here are my two anniversary requests; one is for me, I am looking for someone who would like to sponsor me to be accepted into the Gay Blogads Program. I am finally hitting well over the 3,000 page views a week, that you need to be in the program, but I need someone who currently is running ads, to sponsor me. My second request is for my HIV Awareness page editor, Mikey. For a couple of weeks now, Mikeys computer has been broken down, and the tech doctors are about ready to call the time of death on it. With Mikey battling his HIV, with little or no insurance, what little money he makes at his job goes to doctors visits to cope with the disease, there is no money extra for repairs or a new 'puter. I am not making any money off of this website and blog yet, and unfortunately am not in the financial situation to help him out, or I would have sent it to him in a heartbeat. He does such great work on his blog and my webpage, getting the word out about HIV and AIDS, and putting a human touch to the story, to keep it in our hearts and minds, that the computer really is a lifeblood to him. If any of my readers or blogger friends out there has a computer you are not using, that is internet ready, and not an old clunker with problems of its own, or has money they are willing to spend on a Best Buy or Circuit City gift card to send, not for the entire computer, but whatever denomination you could afford for the gift card to send, I would be forever grateful to you all. Late Posting, Sorry, Jeanne White Ginder, Daily Eye Candy

Evening Blogger Friends, sorry for such a wicked late post, already past 7pm and I am just getting home. This new 9 hour workday is killing me three days into it, LOL. I will adjust back to it soon. Just a couple quick things since it's running so late tonight and then of course, Eye Candy!! Well, it finally happened this morning, Ryan White's mother, Jeanne White Ginder, was able to do an interview for the Gay Guru website. Here's the deal, if you are over 30, I hope you know how much Ryan White and his mother changed the face of HIV/AIDS in the mid 80's. A 13yo hemophiliac who contracted HIV through an infected blood transfusion, died a short 6 years later, having created an Act of Congress, Acts of Bravery, and a tremendous soul. Ryan's mother Jeanne, was instrumental in keeping her son equal and fighting for everyone's cause, not just his. She continues this fine work today. I contacted Mrs White-Ginder, a few weeks back, after featuring Ryan on the website's HIV Awareness page, and asked her if she would consent to an email interview. I was overjoyed when she wrote me back a couple weeks later and said she wouldnt mind at all. I sent her another email telling her that I would email the questions whenever was convenient for her. It's been almost two weeks, when suddenly, I get an email yesterday, that she would be willing to do a PHONE interview today at 9am. WOW!! Of course, as my luck usually runs, I had my new training started and have to be there by 7am and cannot miss a day.

In comes Mikey, my HIV Awareness page editor, to the rescue. Mikey came up with interview questions, and filled in for me, AT 6AM IN THE MORNING CALIFORNIA TIME!! Now that's a trouper, Jeanne lives here on the East Coast and Mikey is on the West, out in Santa Cruz, California. I am so bummed I was not able to speak with Mrs White-Ginder in person, but so ever grateful to Mikey for stepping in and really going the extra mile this morning for me. He left a message on cloud 9 that he had finished the interview, and I called him on my break to see how it went. Mikey said she could not have been more gracious and spent over 45 minutes on the phone with him this morning. He came up with some excellent questions and got some fantastic and heartfelt answers from Jeanne, and he and I will both be sharing excerpts from the interview on Monday's blog, with the entire interview being posted on the website on the July 16th update. Thanx again Mikey for the great job, I cant wait to share this interview with you all readers and blogger friends, Ryan and Jeanne White are Icons to the HIV/AIDS awareness of the 80's, and finally got the str8 world to catch a glimpse of this disease without their prejudices.

I have more stuff to say, but am going to wait until tomorrow afternoon since this post is so late. I have a fun contest starting Monday, so be sure to check out the blog and website over the weekend for more information. And here we go onto the Daily Eye Candy....enjoy...........Scott

Lot's O' Stuff, Lot's O' News, Lot's O' Eye Candy

Happy "HUMP"day Wednesday once again blogger friends. I hope you all got to enjoy the 4th of July Holiday here in the US, and to my blogger friends in other countries, well, hope it was a good Tuesday, hope you have some kind of holiday where you get to have Hot Dogs, Hot Men, and Hot Firework Shows!! It's been a very busy week already here for the Gay Guru. As I told you, I am back in training for a new position for my company, and that means waking up at 5:45am mon-fri for the next 5 weeks, and I dont think I have seen 5:45am in like 6 months. Also, lots of Gay Guru stuff coming together; Jeanne White Ginder, Ryan White's mother is available for her interview this week and I am very excited about that, I have a new contest that I am starting this weekend that I think will be a lot of fun for you all, I am getting great feedback and emails about the website update and challenges for the political forums, and I am getting the finalized code back this week for the Celebrity Top or Bottom, and Political Heaven or Hell websites to go live and updated daily sometime this week, that will track who has voted for whom.

4th of July, Declaration of Independence, Eye Candy

Can it be spelled out any better than that blogger friends, by Thomas Jefferson no less. "ALL men are created EQUAL", "Unalienable Rights, including: Life, Liberty, and The Pursuit of Happiness", "Whenever any form of Government becomes destructive to these above ends, it's The Right of the People to Alter or Abolish it", "Experience has shown mankind is more prone to suffering evils, than to right themselves by abolishing the evils that make people suffer", "It is your Right and your Duty to throw off such suffering, and to provide New Guards for future security".

We need to be the New Guards, blogger friends!! Do not let our government disallow us "Unalienable Rights", that more and more Americans are realizing is unjust and unfair. Our history is to let us suffer until we eventually right ourselves, lets not let this suffering continue and become the New Guards that will fight off such suffering as our right and our duty. This is a call to all in the GLBT community, and our str8 friends and family members, join the call.

MEME Monday, My New Schedule, Eye Candy, Fun MEME

Hey Blogger Friends, Happy Monday!! I hope some of you are getting a four day weekend out of this Fourth of July stuff! Unfortunately, I am not. I am actually heading back into a training class so I can be a supervisor at my job. For the next 5 weeks, it's Monday-Friday, (except tomorrow), from 7am - 230pm. Not a bad gig to learn a new program I will be working on, but a shift in my sleeping and blogging habits for a bit. Postings will probably not be up on weekdays for the next 5 weeks, until about 5pm Eastern time. Since I am such a naughty guru and never really have ANY set posting time, lol, I am sure you wont notice too much, in fact it might be a more regular posting time for you, haha. I am also keeping today and tomorrow pretty light to enjoy the holiday with friend and Mama and Papa Guru. Dont' get your sparklers in a bunch though, I will be posting daily eye candy today and tomorrow.

Since Today is MEME Monday, and it's the Fourth of July holiday weekend, I will tell you a little bit about my most favorite to least favorite holidays. I am sure you all have holidays you love or hate as well, take a second to leave a comment on your favorite or worse holiday and why, I look forward to seeing some of those.

Holidays....Most Favorite to Least



Christmas (Well duh, presents and a chance for a gay man to decorate with pretty lights and ribbons and stuff, lol)

Halloween (I never have a GREAT costume, but I go to and and have thrown some fantastic parties over the years on this day)

Friends/Family Birthday (I love coming up with different, out there birthday gifts and surprises, Like the time I sent my buddy and his b/f on the Dearly Departed Tour, back in L.A. They loved it to see all those creepy places where people died)

St. Patricks Day (I hate beer, but those Irish sure know how to throw a party)

New Years Eve (Eh, used to love the fun times spending the night on the Rose Parade route in Pasadena, CA and the wild times that ensued, but kinda over the drunkness and not being able to kiss at midnight because your man is face first in a toilet puking. [not one time, two separate New Years, new men])

Mothers/Fathers Day (So damn hard to buy for anymore when they hit their 60's and have about everything they ever want and never leave the fricking house except to go on trips, lol.)

Easter (Usually involves a long boring church service, {sorry Jesus}, too much ham, and hard boiled eggs for weeks)

Ground Hogs Day (WTF, with the possible exception of the Bill Murray movie)

My Birthday (It's sandwiched between Christmas and New Years, {Dec. 30th}, and everyone usually forgets, because there is too much stuff going on, plus I hate getting older when I still feel 23)

Short Post Sunday, But I'm A Cheerleader, Daily Eye Candy

It's time for short post Sunday, blogger friends, as I get ready to hit Cleveland for Flex Open House, and theatre for the gay musical "Aint We Got Fun". I posted a funny, yet tasteless video earlier this morning for your enjoyment or groaning, whichever blows your hair back. I might possibly do a quick audio cast when I get to Cleveland over the cell phone, we'll see how the day progresses. If I do, unfortunately I cant provide titles for the audio clips and it will just show up on the blog saying "play me", or something silly like that till I can get back home and title it.

My random thought of the day, comes from the Michigan State controversy of banning the boys to be high school cheerleaders as they start the 2006/2007 school year. The resolution was drafted a couple years ago by the State Board of Education, and is set to be enacted this year.....or will it. It seems the ACLU has finally gotten wind of it, and has sent the Board a letter to "rethink" this policy, before the ACLU decides to bring a lawsuit against them. The ban allows the boys to cheer during school year activities (if the other school agree's), but does not let them compete in the "non-season" competitions, where most of the college scouts go to recruit for collegiate cheer scholarships. It seems to be a direct breach of the Title IX act of non-discrimination based on sex in the public schools, so we will see how this plays out. I dated a college cheerleader once, and I can tell you he was much more buff and hot than the school quarterback ever could hope to be!!! It takes some muscles to lift those girls high in the air and perform some of those acrobatic maneuvers. The Website Update Complete, In The News, The Biggest Bath House In The World, Daily Eye Candy

Happy July 1st blogger friends, can you believe we are now over half-way thru another year, jeeeshhhh!! I can't believe I did it, but the website update is complete as well. I will be sending out an Email newsletter later today or tomorrow, reminding everyone, and I have a couple other announcements as well. When you have a chance to check-out the new update on the site, you will be finding a few changes. The format is still the same for now, but I deleted a couple pages, and added a few more. According to the website's stat log, the "Shopping" page, was pretty much the least viewed page, so I have discontinued it. Also for this update, I eliminated the "Dating" page, but just for this update. The paradox of the dating page is that it is probably one of the most viewed pages on the site, but I have had really no interest from anyone in submitting themselves for the "Hot Date's or Couple's of the Week", which is one of the reasons why I think that page was so popular. So without a date or couple to feature, I discontinued the page for this update, but am going to re-invent the page with other "Dating" related themes and articles on the July 16th update.

I did add three pages to the site, to make up for the deleted pages. "Leaning Left" is the new political page to the blog. I was weary of putting my political thoughts and belief's out there, it tends to sometimes alienate readers, (not just my thoughts sillies, but anyone's political thoughts alienate readers, lol,) but I think politics and religion, and the often mixing of the two, makes it impossible for an informed person in the GLBT community, not to care about the political climate of the nation/world. I made the page an open forum by putting a "Halo Comments" link on the bottom right of the page, so anyone can give their two cents on their thoughts about what I have written, or bringing up topics of their own. I have also issued a challenge to fellow bloggers who are Republican or Conservative, and would like to challenge and debate me on an issue, to submit an email to me and we will take a topic of theirs or my choosing and present that on future updates. The challenge is not just for bloggers, but readers too may take up the challenge. There are ground rules however, and they are listed on the page, and must be abided by. I am going to send personal email challenges to Right leaning bloggers that I enjoy reading, including: Ethan, at BratBoySchool, Scott, at BoiFromTroy, and the Captain, at CaptainCox,, and see if they have a topic they would like to debate, I enjoy reading their blogs, even though I dont neccesarily agree with their political opinions a lot of the time. Hopefully this page will be accepted and read and create some debate and offer some information.

Another page I added, was "Media Review" page, that offers commentary and reviews on independent minded music, cinema, and television. I am very happy to welcome into the Gay Guru family, Bruce from Cleveland, a fellow writer and blogger whose blog Senseless, is a great read and I hope you pop over sometime to say hello. He has found some kewl new music, one song plays on the page, and the other two you can click over to listen to. He will continue to offer independent artists, and hopefully some up and coming from the GLBT community as well. If you would like to have you or your group featured on Bruce's review page, email him at his link on the website, or just to Bruce@thegayguru.net. The movie views got me wanting to check them out, and I did go over and download the free download of Kyle XY that he reviewed for television. Check it out, and let Bruce now how you enjoyed his thoughts.

The last page I added was a "Health/Fitness" page, that is going to be offering exercise and eating tips, along with articles about health and fitness that will benefit everybody. I am still looking for an editor to take charge of this page, if health and fitness is your thing, and you can donate time to provide 2 updates a month for the Gay Guru website, please email me at Scott@thegayguru.net. As my diet keeps going along, I am picking up a lot of great tips from the friends I am meeting at the gym, and I will be passing along whatever great information I can find, but can always use the help, if you want to send in any article you find, that might be informative for the website.

Along with the new pages, almost every other page was updated as well, I featured a great gay owned and operated restaurant in Portland, Oregon, talked about the Grey Goose Vodka Recherche club in the UK that has great benefits for members along with a hot virtual bartender at the Grey Goose website, gave a recipe for "Beer can Chicken", there are new "ask the guru" questions up, along with The Gay Guru's recommendations for a fun, gay friendly honeymoon, a product line I stumbled upon changing the connotation of the word FAG to Fabulous and Gay in the "grooming" section, and of course Mikey did a great job on the HIV Awareness page. Finally today, before we get to our newly featured "daily eye candy", you have heard of the expression and song, "Texas Has A Whorehouse In It", havent you?? Well guess what? Ohio has a bath house in it!! And not just any ol' run of the mill bath house either, the BIGGEST EVER IN THE USA, and probably the world!!! A Miami businessman is spending $7 million to convert an old Greyhound bus garage in a Cleveland industrial area into an upscale, men-only bathhouse. The ambitious project by Cleveland native Charles Fleck features hotel rooms, swimming pools, saunas, whirlpools, a nightclub-restaurant and a rooftop sand pit for nude sunbathing. The two-story Art Deco style building on the city's near East Side sits among factories, warehouses, big-truck docks and blue-collar shot-and-beer bars. It's also a few blocks from the city's main homeless shelter for men. It will feature an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, a giant Jacuzzi that could seat at least 30 men, sauna baths, 30 hotel rooms, a nightclub, a Wi-Fi-enabled restaurant for computer users, a laundry, a workout gym and even a eucalyptus-vapor room. There so far has been very little controversy so far, but it does not officially open until tomorrow, July 2nd. The Gay Guru has been given a free invitation to the grand opening tomorrow, and I will probably attend just to check out the spectacle of the thing, (get all of your minds immediately out of the gutter blogger friends, lol,) Actually, tomorrow night I am scheduled to see that gay musical I told you about the other day, "Ain't We Got Fun", so I will be in the area anyway, hehe!! I will be sure to fill you in on all the juicy details.
